CHURCH AS A FAMILY

COURSE DESCRIPTION: Spiritual growth occurs primarily in the context of community. People who remain connected with their brothers and sisters in the local church almost invariably grow in self-understanding, and they mature in their ability to relate in healthy ways to God and to their fellow human beings. This course is going to take a look at recapturing Jesus’ vision for authentic Christian community in the church. We are going to discuss the aspect of community and look at how the church today can glean what biblical community was from the early church and translate to what that could look like today.
